Pruune says “Photo Access Required”
Photo access was not granted or was later revoked.
- Tap Open Settings in Pruune.
- Open the device’s photo permission for Pruune.
- Allow the access level needed for the items you want to review.
- Return to Pruune.
Pruune can only display assets the operating system makes available to it.
The screen says “No Photos Found”
The active filter, Smart Pack, album, or date may contain no accessible items.
- Tap Change Filters.
- Clear the active date and Smart Pack.
- Select All for Media Type.
- Select All Photos for Album.
- Apply the changes.
Also verify photo-library permission if the library should not be empty.
A photo or video shows “Failed to load”
The asset may not be locally available, may be in iCloud, or may be inaccessible under the current permission.
- Check the device’s network connection for an iCloud-only asset.
- Open the item once in the Photos app to encourage the device to retrieve it.
- Confirm that Pruune still has photo-library access.
- Try the pass again.
An unplayable video is advanced without being deleted.
Compression is not offered
Compression appears only when the current size information meets the threshold:
- 5 MB for a photo
- 30 MB for a video
The current item may also still be loading its size metadata.
“Safe batch is full”
The current compression pass has reached either:
- 8 videos, or
- 4 GB of video source data.
Finish the current pass, then run another pass for the remaining files.
“Too large to compress safely”
The video is larger than the current 4 GB single-video limit. Pruune leaves it original.
Trim or export the video outside Pruune, or choose a smaller video.
Compression says “Already optimized”
The result did not save both 1 MB and 2% of the original size. Pruune discards that temporary compressed result instead of replacing the original with a negligible saving.
Purchases are unavailable
Pruune could not load a matching App Store package.
- Check the network connection.
- Confirm the App Store is available and the device is signed in.
- Close and reopen the paywall.
- Try again later if App Store product information is still propagating.
Restore did not find Pro
Restore checks the active App Store/RevenueCat entitlement for the current Apple ID.
- Confirm the device is signed into the Apple ID used for the purchase.
- Confirm the subscription is still active.
- Open Settings → Pruune Pro → Restore Pro Access again.
Cleanup reminders do not appear
- Open Settings → Reminders in Pruune.
- Confirm Cleanup Reminders is enabled.
- Confirm notification permission is enabled for Pruune in system Settings.
- Remember that reminders follow the scheduled local times and may be replaced when a higher-priority reminder falls on the same day.
