Focus and Productivity Systems

10.1 Focus Timer

The global timer can be attached to:

• no project / General;
• a selected project;
• a selected active work item.

Preset durations:

• 15 minutes
• 25 minutes
• 45 minutes
• 60 minutes
• 90 minutes
• custom duration

Modes:

• Focus
• Break

Sessions of at least one minute can be saved. Focus sessions contribute to:

• time entries;
• today, week, month, and all-time statistics;
• project and work-item breakdowns;
• streaks;
• goals;
• activity and overview feedback.

10.2 Hyper Focus

Hyper Focus can lock attention to one project.

Intensity levels:

• Low
• Medium
• High

Depending on intensity, other projects can be dimmed or blocked. Hyper Focus tracks:

• session count;
• total focus minutes;
• distraction attempts;
• perfect sessions;
• current perfect-session streak.

The Studio home remains accessible.

10.3 Focus Audio

Focus audio is a layered sound environment rather than only a music player.

Layers can include:

• generated noise;
• binaural tones;
• ambient sound;
• curated music.

Noise options include:

• White Noise
• Low Pink
• Dense Pink
• Deep Brown

Binaural options include:

• Alpha — relaxed focus
• Beta — alertness
• Gamma — deep flow
• Theta — deep relaxation

Ambient options include:

• Ocean Waves
• Gentle Rain
• Coffee Shop
• Deep Forest

Scene presets combine layers into environments such as:

• Library at Midnight
• Summer Storm
• Zen Garden
• Coffee Morning
• Deep Space
• Ocean Drift

Each layer has independent volume control, plus master volume. Curated music supports queue progression, seeking, and single-track looping.

10.4 Goals

Goals can be:

• Studio-wide or project-specific;
• Daily or weekly.

Goal metrics currently include:

• focus minutes;
• completed tasks;
• output words;
• output pages;
• output minutes in the underlying model.

The user interface intentionally exposes creator-output goals only where the project already supports appropriate output logging.

10.5 Recurring Work

Recurring tasks are intentionally lightweight, not a full habit-management product.

Supported recurrence:

• Daily
• Weekdays
• Weekly
• Monthly

Recurring work appears across:

• Workshop;
• Today;
• Calendar;
• Chronicle.

Output Tracking

Output tracking is different from time tracking.

• Time tracking answers: “How long did I work?”
• Output tracking answers: “What did I produce?”

Supported units in the data model:

• Words
• Pages
• Minutes
• Episodes
• Tasks

Current first-class project configurations are listed in the project-type table above.

Output entries can come from:

• a Writing Studio session;
• manual logging;
• a focus session.

Output can appear in:

• Project Overview;
• Studio Overview;
• Today;
• Chronicle;
• goals.

Documentation rule: Do not imply that all project types currently have an equally deep output-logging interface.
